FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring to Physie class each week?

Juniors: There is no prescribed uniform for regular classes however, members are encouraged to wear their Eastlakes club gear with bike pants or tights.

Seniors & Ladies: Seniors and Ladies can wear leggings and a fitted t-shirt or activewear to class.

Please ensure you have a bottle of water with your name marked clearly on it.

Should I practice my routine at home?

Absolutely, your teacher will provide you a video of your routines at the start of the year, so then practice, practice, practice! It helps. The EP Physie website also has a teachers walkthrough video posted under the member area, including the library of the music for the year.

Must I compete?

There is no requirement to compete, we are all about fun. Should you wish to compete there are Interclubs, Champion Girl (Individual) and Team competitions that you can join and train for, it’s lots of fun!

Do I have to attend two classes a week?

We provide flexible class options so that if you can only attend one class a week, then that’s what works for you. But at Eastlakes you do get the opportunity to attend two classes a week, so why not.

What do I need for Competition Wear?

EP has a strict set of rules when it comes to competitions that Eastlake requires all members to adhere to.

All competitors are required to wear a leotard and skirt and soft split sole ballet. You can visit Bloch Charlestown and mention Eastlakes for a discount off the ballet shoes.

Fake tan and make-up is banned for girls under 13.

When not competing, members and club supporters are strongly encouraged to wear their Eastlakes Club uniform to all official competition events.

Ask us for links to competition wear, but also be aware that there is a private facebook group for resales of leotards for EP Physie which may help you decide on the colour combo for you.

Lost Property

We are unable to hold lost property. If any items are left in class we will move the item to the bookshelf at the Neighbourhood Centre for you. We cannot be responsible for what happens to the item from there. It is your responsibility to collect your items at the end of each class.
